Guild Statement of Intent

Of late, I have been a bit slack in looking after the people who are interested in raiding and people are getting into the habit of signing up for raids and then not showing up. First and foremost, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires everyone to show up before time for a raid… we can cut people a bit of slack and they can show up a bit late if needs be.

I have decided that we, the guild, needs to start progressing as a social/raiding guild and to that end, I will be reorganising things to suit this. We are doing great in the guild levelling bit and the achievements but we are slow on the raiding bit.

I am going to completely revamp the ranks within the guild so that we have our social members and our raiding members are sorted out. No one will be better than anyone else… raiders, social members… doesn’t matter. We are all members of the Eternal Flames.

Ranks

I have decided that I am going to reorganise the ranks so that Raid Leaders end up becoming the main officers in the guild. Commanders and Knights will become the rank for the raiders. There will only be one alts rank. All alts will be put into that rank regardless of whether you are an officer or a social member.

Therefore, the ranks are going to be sorted as follows:

1. Guild Master
2. Raid Leader
3. Officers
4. Core Raider
5. Social Raider
6. Social Member
7. Alts
8. Absentees
9. Initiates

Recruitment.

We are primarily a social guild that raids. We do not want to recruit people who are going to upset the harmony of the guild. If someone wants to join us, get them to talk to me or one of the officers. We will find out why they want to join us and make a decision. If we recruit someone who turns out to be an idiot, we will ask them to shape up and if they don’t, they will be kicked from the guild. We are all here to have fun playing the game and idiots who disturb our peace gets kicked.

Raiding

If you are interested in raiding, go to the website at theeternalflames.wowstead.com and sign up.  If you have a curse account, you can associate your characters with your account.

If you sign up for a raid, please show up. If you cant make a raid on a certain day, let the raid leader know and they will replace you for that run. If you sign up and you don’t show up, you will get a warning about it. If you don’t show up for a second raid, I will demote you back to a social member.

Social members will get invited if one of the regular raiding members isn’t available and we need to fill holes. We all have a lot of alts, so we should be able to set up a good team based on whats available to us.

Everyone should have all the addons that we recommend; these will help with your DPS and healing. We also suggest that you get Vent if you don’t have it and get the vent server details from the website.  When we have a raid, it is good if you are on the vent server because we can tell you the tactics for a boss quicker via vent than by typing. You don’t have to talk on it… just listen.
