Hi Guys and gal’s,
I was talking Sat night during our raid on TOTC10 that I would be getting a TS3 server. I paid for it yesterday, and it is now all up and working. I will expand it if we need it expanded, but for the time being, there are 25 slot which means 1-2 10man teams and a 5 man team or some sort of make up through that as well.
The server is located at 213.165.85.228 port 10033

First of all, I would like to welcome Vreid to the guild… she did an impressive job helping out with Patchwerk Tuesday night that it earnt her an invite to the guild. She also did well in ICC10 despite being undergeared. I hope that your stay with us is a long and friendly one and you really enjoy your time raiding with us.
As noted we ran ICC10 Tuesday night with mixed results. We nailed Marrowgar and Deathwhisper first time and then we lost the plot with Gunship and wiped quite a number of times
But all the same, it was a fun run and things will improve with the next outing we have in there.
I have recognised that we need another pally healer and 1-2 boomkins for us to go forward. The boomkins can also be resto’s as well but honestly, we need the pally healer.

Well… the last 2 days have been a lot of fun.
Yesterday, after a number of wipes on Marrowgar and Deathwhisper, we downed them both. After going up and killing the first mob on the landing, there was a weekly in raid quest so we all took that and wiped a few times before we called it. A good night considering that both Neferim and Dramoth were under-geared according to the rest of the server population and Blekk was healing and was only about 3.9k GS (not that it counts for much as far as we are all concerned) and did a damned good job… once we got the healing assignments sorted out. Last week the weekly raid was Razorscale. So we organised to do the run on the sunday, but a couple of people couldnt make it, so I moved it to Monday.
Monday rolls around and suddenly we have our usual 5man HC team of people available. I was tanking on Dramoth, Neferim was the other tank, Blekkelf was healing along with Basketcase and Demonshand was our melee dps.

Hi everyone,
The officers of the guild were discussing a few things last night about the guild ranks and how new members will progress through them. We came up with a sure proof way of rewarding participation within the guild and feel that it is fair to everyone.
Trialist: our invite rank in the guild. You can talk to people in the guild and take part in things but this is a probation period for you. If you are below level 80, then it is a 2 step process to become a member. You spend 1 week as a trialist before moving to the initiate rank. Level 80’s we invite to the guild are trialists for a period of 2 weeks while we get to know you and if everything works out, you are promoted to the member rank.
Initiate: The second step for those new members who are under level 80. You remain in this rank until you reach level 80 and then you are promoted to the member rank.
Member: You have passed through the trial periods (either directly as being recruited as a level 80 or by joining as a sub-level 80 character) and you are now a member. At this point, you are either a brand new level 80, and we will help you gear up so you can come raiding, or you are already raiding and just need to start raiding with us. There is a good chance that you will be invited to raids.
Veteran: You have successfully completed a full raid with us (multi-boss raid like Naxx, Ulduar or ICC). You are now more likely to get an invite to raids in future and things are looking rosy for you.
Knight: At this rank, you have proven that you are a willing member of the guild who is always available for our guild raids. You will be one of the first to get an invite to a high level raid and you will be expected to assist the new level 80’s in guild HC runs.
Commander: You are now one of the officers in the guild. You are expected to be helping out in the guild using your skills and professions. You will also be someone who organises raids and guild heroic runs. Without the commanders, the guildmaster has to do it all himself.
Guildmaster: The boss. The guildmaster is the person who handles all the promotions within the guild. He also oversees the running of the guild assisted by the commanders. He deals with complaints about members of the guild (so dont cause trouble) and tries to maintain our relationship with other guilds.
Thats it for the ranks. We all pay for the privilege of playing World of Warcraft and we should be enjoying ourselves. So just relax, kick back and have fun… it’s going to be a blast

The guild is currently looking at recruiting the following:
- 1 holy paladin
- 1 resto druid
- 1 survival hunter and 1 marksman hunter
- 2 mages
- 1 warlock
- 1 balance druid
- 1 shadow priest
We are ok on tanks at the moment with 1 warrior, 1 paladin and 1 druid tanks. We seem to be fine on the melee dps front as well with 2 death knights, 1 rogue, 2 enhancement shaman and a fury warrior. The paladin, the druid and both shaman can also heal (although it’s more a case of Amalisa is a healer who can also dps), so it would be nice to get in some dedicated healers.

The Eternal Flames is now a 10man raiding guild. We have a few tanks, a few dps and a couple of healer types. Pity that so many of the few people in the guild are multi-roled doing either tank/healer or dps/healer roles.
The guild is going to be recruiting ranged dps as a priority now so that we can fill out a 10man raid and have a couple of people left over.
So for the recruiting, we are looking to recruit the following immediately.
- 2 hunters
- 1 mage
- 1 warlock
- 1 shadow priest.
We should also think about recruiting a couple of dedicated healers as well. Admittedly we have access to 4 top class healers in Alberoth, Holeecrap, Gwaëndlyn and Porus. But we want to play our other toons as well and only use those guys if really needed.
The guild site is going to change to a custom website with forums and a blog for talking about our raids and stupid stuff like that.
The Eternal Flames is going to be about having fun while raiding and doing instances together. We are planning on raiding from Sunday night – Tuesday night.

The guys have been levelling well of late and I have hit a couple more instances since the last post. Downed Razorfen Kraul and the first 2 parts of Scarlet Monastery.
They are all level 37 now and I will be working on getting them to at least level 45 by Sunday night.
I am planning on finishing SM and then moving quickly onto Razorfen Downs, Maraudon and Uldaman. This in theory should see me through to about level 48 if I am levelling through questing at the same time.
I will have to make a few decisions when they hit level 50 I think because I have 2 more characters at or around level 50 that I can level with this team if I wanted to or I could try and power level up some of my others to get them to level 50 and make a second 5 man team.

Last week was a good one for me… finished sfk, bfd and to round out the week, we finished Stocks.
Started doing Gnomer prequel quests and collecting a load of quests for in there. Then yesterday, started on the actual instance.
Killed Techbot, Grubbis, Viscious Fallout and Electrocutioner 6000.
This leaves Crowd Pummler 9-60 and Mekgineer Thermaplugg plus a mini boss (I think) to finish off the place. I need to check Theropon’s keychain to see if he has the key to the back way in.

I’ve been a bit busy lately both in RL and in wow. Since the last post, I have finished Deadmines with all my kiddies, along with Shadowfang Keep and tonight (20/11/2009), I finished Blackfathom Deep’s.
